About
Since my very first Raggedy Ann and Andy diary that I had when I barely knew how to write (maybe 1st grade) I have had journals off and on. I enjoy writing and digging deep to find something that is not on the surface. Although I expect most of what you will find on this blog to not be all that deep most of the time, but more of a fun way to preserve some memories of what is special to me.
Inspiration of the Moon has a two part meaning:
1) My oldest has had a deep appreciation for the moon since he was just a little guy. He points it our to us every time he sees it, like it is the fist time. Even during the day, he will say, “mom there’s the moon!” and I will skeptically look up in the sky, and there, sure enough is the moon! I love his enthusiasm and newness to appreciate things day after day, even when in it is the same moon that he saw the night before. My kids remind me to take nothing for granted, and appreciate each moment.
2) There is something to be said for the calmness that is upon me after the kids go to bed, after a fun (or insane!) day or evening. Sometimes, on weekdays, it is not quite enough time with them. Other times, I welcome the time to myself, and with Neil that the moon brings me.
Either way, the moon brings me inspiration, to live each day to the fullest with my family.
